Vegetable spices as we know them in Poland include garlic, onion, lovage or paprika. Each has its own unique health-promoting properties and specific taste qualities to suit a particular group of dishes.
Vegetable spices - why use them?
Spices are not only a way of enhancing the taste of food, but also have a positive effect on our body. For example, paprika is rich in vitamin C, which naturally improves immunity, while onions contain, among other things, B vitamins (such as vitamin B6, which contributes to the proper functioning of the nervous system). By using spices on a daily basis, we really take care of our health, shape and well-being, and the interesting taste qualities of each vegetable spice make them used not only in traditional Polish dishes, but also in many others.
Vegetable spices - to which dishes?
Vegetable seasonings are successful with dishes such as:
- soups
- stews
- salads
- sauces
- vegetable dishes
- meat dishes
Vegetable seasonings play an important role not only in Polish cuisine, but also - among others - in Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine. By combining vegetable seasonings in unusual blends, we can achieve even more interesting flavours and aromas in dishes.
